Finding the right shade of blonde made easy

Blonde hair seems to be making its way more and more into our ever-changing hair trends. With Kylie Jenner recently reaching for the blonde hair dye, we can’t help but wonder what shade of blonde is the perfect one for us? Picking out a colour that accentuates your natural hair colour and your skin tone is more than popping a box of dye in your trolley, it’s also about finding a colour that enhances your highlights and brings out your natural tones. With four amazing shades for you to choose from, we thought you’d need a blonde bombshell guide to create that perfect hue this season. AlmondChanneling our inner Kristen Bell, this medium blonde colour is deeper and vibrant. If you’re looking for a colour that allows you to just dip your toes into the blonde pool, this colour is for you. A darker blonde suits a warmer skin tone, and will draw out your natural highlights as well as the undertones of your skin. ChampagneLet’s get our hair colour popping with a blonde colour that’s lighter than Almond Blonde. Just like our super model here, Miss Rosie Huntington-Whitely, we are inspired by this blonde that plays on your natural highlights even more. Keeping in mind that our Renew range is the base range, we recommend using this colour to brighten your natural hair, instead of using it to completely transform it from one colour to another. Matching a medium skin tone, this colour is great for ladies who just want their highlights a little lighter. Light BlondeMoving onto a blonde that’s even lighter, our Light Blonde hair colour...

The wispy up-doThis simple updo is perfect for those dreamy brides looking for something to complete their romantic look. You’re going to want to curl your hair into loose waves before you begin, then tie it into a low ponytail. Above your hair band, make a small part and tuck your ponytail into it. Pull out a few strands of hair in the front for a finishing touch. The side braidIf you want to leave your hair down, but would still like it away from your face, this one is for you. Curl your hair into loose waves before you begin then spray with hairspray. Part your hair down the side and start braiding your hair into a French braid from the top of your head, carry on until you’ve reached the end of your hair and secure with a clear band. To add a bit of volume to your braid, slightly pull out each knot all the way down and finish it off with a piece of bling at the top. Tips and tricks for sexy, bouncy curls

Tips and tricks for sexy, bouncy curls

There’s always something so sassy and alluring about a girl with curls in her hair. From models, who strut runways with that extra bounce in their locks, to celebs, who steal scenes with those voluminous waves… They’re enough to make every woman covet curly hair and learn the tricks of the trade. With this in mind, we’ve put together some of the easiest and most do-able tips and tricks to get the sexy, bouncy curls you’ve always fantasised about… With a curling iron or wand… Heat-styling is a great and convenient way to curl your hair. When prepping to heat-style your hair, remember to use a protective heat spray to avoid damage. Once you’ve done this, to make things easy, part your hair into sections you can manage, clipping each one as you go. Then pick up each section, comb through it and lightly spritz a light-hold hairspray to create volume. Clamp sections of hair at the ends and wrap around your curling iron or, alternatively, roll a section of hair around the barrel, from the roots to the ends, if using a wand. Start from the nape of your neck, working your way up. Hold hair in the iron or wand for about 10 to 20 seconds at a time. Continue to work in sections until you have completed curling all your hair. With a flat iron… Don’t own a wand or curling iron? No problem. A straightener or flat iron can do the trick just as easily! To achieve perfect curls, a narrow width flat iron is ideal. Once again part your hair into sections, gathering and...
Why I Love Anna Wintour

Why I Love Anna Wintour

When I was in high school, my biggest dream was to be the editor of Seventeen Magazine. I saved my pocket money every month to be able to buy the magazine, and then I poured over it for days – cutting out my favourite pictures to stick in my school diary. The magazine was always filled with inspiration and women to look up to. Then during my studies, one of my friends introduced me to The September Issue – a documentary about the 2007 September Issue of Vogue. I fell in love with the world of Vogue instantly. I loved everything about it: from Grace Coddington’s fiery red hair that matches her passion for shooting editorials, to seeing the detail that goes into every shoot and article. Watch the trailer Of course, the ultimate highlight of the documentary was seeing Vogue Editor, Anna Wintour, do her thing. I was in awe of her. She’s intelligent, hardworking and unapologetic about her vision for Vogue. She instantly became my female hero. If you read The Devil Wears Prada, which was written by Anna Wintour’s former assistant Lauren Weisberger, you probably know that she’s not the easiest person to please. ““If one comes across sometimes as being cold or brusque, it’s simply because I’m striving for the best.” – Anna Wintour But that’s what I like about her. She’s relentless in her pursuit of making Vogue the best fashion magazine of our time. “I don’t like people who’ll say yes to everything I might bring up. I want people who can argue, and disagree, and have a point of view that’s reflected...
